Frequently asked questions
How long should I practice each week?
- This program plans out 6 hours weekly
- For a shorter program, simply spread the days out to last more than 6 weeks.
- If you also take classes in person, simply substitute barre work or things that you are already getting in your studio classes with studio time and practice at home to fill in the gaps of the things you want to learn more about.
What happens if you miss a class or day within a week?
- No problem! At the end of your 6 weeks, simply complete all the days that are unchecked or re-integrate them into your next 6 weeks
Which level of barre should I take?
- These 6 weeks are all about exploration to see what gets you excited, inspired, and motivated. Try them all! You can always scrub through the video to see what to expect.
- Don’t be afraid to stop a class halfway through if it’s not the right level or what you're interested in. Explore!
What if I’m already en pointe?
- You’re welcome to substitute the pre-pointe classes for pointe classes. Or, give pre-pointe a try! Especially if you struggle to get over the box, pre-pointe is a great way to improve your strength & mobility.
What if I don’t like one of the types of classes?
- No problem! Discovering your tastes in ballet is a big part of what the Broche Ballet Online program is all about. Simply substitute anything you don’t enjoy with a video of similar length. It’s YOUR ballet journey and YOUR goals!
What should I do after 6 weeks?
- By the end of 6 weeks, you'll have an idea of your energy level, which things you found enjoyable and want to continue, and which things weren't that interesting to you.
- Go back through the planner again and make another 6-week plan, and don't be shy to replace things you didn't enjoy, swap for things you're more curious about, or double up on things
- Soon you’ll develop an intuition for what and how to practice for your mood, curiosity, and energy levels.
Happy dancing :)
