About This Program
Embark on Your Dream of Dancing En Pointe
For many adult ballet students, the dream of dancing en pointe feels like a distant or even impossible goal. The Broche Ballet Journey to Pointe program is specifically designed to bridge that gap, providing a clear, safe, and structured curriculum to take you from your very first ballet class to your first pair of pointe shoes. Unlike programs designed for children, our approach respects the unique biomechanics and timelines of the adult body.
A Comprehensive Pre-Pointe Curriculum
This program is organized into progressive stages to ensure you build the necessary foundation. You will begin by learning the 4 Criteria for Pointe Readiness: ankle alignment, calf strength, foot articulation, and overall ballet technique. With over 600 videos and 200 hours of content, you have access to a massive library of exercises focusing on specific needs, such as increasing your relevé height, improving toe dexterity, and strengthening your turnout.
Structured Practice and Personalized Guidance
The journey is divided into manageable four-month blocks. Whether you are following the general plan or a customized routine from a Foot 360° Consultation, you will use our tracking resources to monitor your progress. We focus heavily on the "Exercise Bank," which allows you to target your specific weaknesses, whether that is ankle range of motion or core stability. This ensures that when you finally step into the studio for your first pointe class, your feet and body are fully prepared for the demands of the shoes.
The Path to Approval
Safety is our priority. This program guides you through the application process for our 16-week beginner pointe program, which opens twice annually. You will receive direct feedback via a pointe readiness checklist, helping you understand exactly what you need to work on. From mastering the plié and tendu to developing the torque for a piqué turn, this program covers every technical detail required to dance safely and beautifully.
