About This Program
Achieving higher legs in ballet is a common goal for adult dancers, but it requires more than just flexibility. At Broche Ballet, we believe that beautiful extensions are the result of a precise balance between strength, range of motion, and technical alignment. Our Extensions Foundations for Higher Legs (Level 2) program is a structured, 4-week journey designed to help you lift your legs with grace, control, and confidence.
A Comprehensive Approach to Extensions
This program moves beyond simple stretching. Over the course of 32 videos and more than 8 hours of instruction, you will dive deep into the mechanics of the body. You will explore how the hamstrings, hips, and core work together to support your limbs in space. By understanding ballet anatomy—such as the importance of the low back and pelvic stability—you can avoid common pitfalls and injury while maximizing your natural range of motion.
What to Expect in the 4-Week Curriculum
The program is divided into logical progressions to ensure you build a solid foundation:
- Foundational Anatomy: Learn how your bones and muscles interact during a développé or arabesque.
- Flexibility & Mobility: Targeted sessions for the hamstrings and hips using seated stretches and breathwork to release tension.
- Strength & Stability: Core-focused exercises (without the need for planks!) that emphasize balance and pelvic control.
- Technical Precision: Refine your turnout and learn to use every inch of your available rotation to support your leg height.
Why Adult Dancers Choose Broche Ballet
We understand the unique needs of the adult body. This program addresses specific challenges, such as lower back tightness and hip imbalances, providing you with the tools to work with your body rather than against it. Whether you are struggling to get your leg above 90 degrees or simply want more stability at the barre, this course provides the technical roadmap you need to see real progress in your ballet practice.
