About This Video
Welcome to your personalized ballet roadmap! In this video, we dive deep into the Broche Ballet "Facets of Ballet" curriculum, a comprehensive program designed to give you structure without sacrificing flexibility. Whether you are focusing on your barre work, mastering the art of the sauté, or improving your flexibility, this program allows you to tailor your training to your specific needs.
We begin with an overview of our six-week well-rounded planner. This tool is perfect for dancers who want a broad exposure to all areas of dance before narrowing their focus. You will learn how to integrate daily habits, such as six minutes of strength training and our specialized four-month split calendar, to ensure your body is prepared for the technical demands of ballet.
These foundational elements support every other movement, from a simple plié to complex pirouette combinations. The Facets of Ballet curriculum is unique because it is modular. We offer levels 2, 3, and 4 across various topics including technique, artistry, jumps, and strength.
Unlike traditional rigid structures, you have the freedom to advance in specific areas. For example, you might be at a level 4 in artistry but choose to stay at level 2 for jumps to refine your landings. We recommend completing level 2 of any specific facet before moving to level 3 to ensure a solid foundation, but the path is ultimately yours to choose.
Our goal at Broche Ballet is to encourage curiosity. If a particular topic no longer serves your goals, you are free to pivot and explore something new. By organizing classes by topic, we make it easy to go deeper into the areas that inspire you most.
Whether you want to master your tendu or explore the nuances of arabesque, this program provides the tools to build a sustainable and joyful practice.
