Drawing inspiration from Andalusian dance styles, this center combination focuses on the intricate details of port de bras, head placement, and the specific affectation that gives Spanish-influenced ballet its unique character and fiery spirit.
Throughout the video, you will explore how to use your upper body and épaulement to create drama and anticipation. We move beyond the standard carriage of the arms to incorporate more stylized movements, such as figure-eight patterns and specific head tilts that add a touch of spice to your performance. Whether you are dancing with a skirt—using it to swish and create a dramatic effect—or simply focusing on the elegant line of your body, you will learn how to use your focus to engage the audience.
Looking over the shoulder with a raised eyebrow or a subtle tilt can transform a simple movement into a compelling story.
