About This Video
Congratulations on reaching the final installment of the Broche Ballet 16-week Beginner Pointe program! This milestone class is a celebration of your dedication and progress in mastering the foundational elements of dancing en pointe. Throughout this 30-minute session, we focus on refining your technique with a blend of strength-building exercises and graceful combinations designed to elevate your artistry and technical confidence.
We begin with a series of exercises that emphasize proper alignment and foot placement. You will revisit essential movements like the plié and dégagé, ensuring that every transition is executed with control and intention. A significant portion of the class is dedicated to mastering the sus-sous and piqué, where we emphasize the importance of engaging your core muscles to maintain balance and stability.
These movements are crucial for any aspiring dancer, and Class #16 provides the perfect opportunity to polish them to perfection. As we move into more complex sequences, you will practice the pas de bourrée and expressive cambré. These steps require a high degree of fluidity and precision.
Our instructor provides detailed feedback on how to use the floor and the barre for support, helping you build the confidence needed to move away from the barre and into center work. We also incorporate adagio movements and arabesque positions to challenge your control and extension. Safety and longevity are paramount at Broche Ballet.
This lesson includes tips on listening to your body and maintaining proper turnout to avoid injury. By the end of this session, you will have a deeper understanding of how to execute turns and jumps, focusing on soft landings and precise recovery. Thank you for being part of this journey.
Whether you are revisiting these basics or completing the program for the first time, this class ensures you are well-prepared for the next stage of your ballet training.
