About This Video
Congratulations on reaching the final milestone of the Broche Ballet Beginner Pointe Cohort! This sixteenth and final class is a celebration of your hard work, dedication, and technical growth over the past four months. In this graduation session, we consolidate the foundational skills you have built, focusing on fluid transitions and the refined artistry required for dancing en pointe.
We dive deep into complex movements, ensuring your foot placement, turnout, and alignment are secure as you transition between steps. The class features a comprehensive series of exercises including pas de cheval, which emphasizes a straight leg and high heel to build essential foot strength. We also practice the développé from front to back, incorporating the à la seconde position and tombé to improve your balance and weight transfer.
Mastery of the piqué balancé is another key focus, where we work on the delicate coordination of turning and bourrée movements. Throughout the class, your instructor provides detailed feedback and corrections to help you maintain proper posture and control. Beyond the steps, we discuss the long-term care of your pointe shoes and how to maintain the flexibility needed in your feet, ankles, and legs to continue your ballet journey safely.
Completing this 16-week program is a significant achievement in any dancer's life. By the end of this session, you will have the confidence to execute a full pas de bourrée, rolling down through the feet with grace, and performing sous-tenu half turns with precision. Whether you are continuing to our intermediate levels or repeating this cohort to solidify your technique, this class serves as a vital bridge in your ballet education.
Join us at Broche Ballet as we celebrate your progress and prepare for the next stage of your dance training.
