About This Video
Welcome to a vibrant February at Broche Ballet! As we transition into the new month, we are thrilled to announce our updated live Zoom class schedule, packed with opportunities to refine your technique and explore the storytelling heart of classical dance. This month, we are introducing exciting changes to our Wednesday lineup.
Replacing our Artistry in the Center series, we invite you to join us for a deep dive into the world of ballet pantomime. Often described as the sign language of ballet, pantomime allows dancers to convey complex emotions and narratives without a single word. Our February sessions will explore iconic sequences from the repertoire, including the haunting gestures of Giselle, the romantic storytelling of Swan Lake, the menacing movements of Carabas, and the whimsical Hans mime from The Nutcracker.
Beyond our narrative studies, we are celebrating the calendar's special moments. On February 14th, join us for a Valentine's Day themed barre featuring a festive playlist and a celebratory atmosphere. We also haven't forgotten the rare occurrence of February 29th!
Our Leap Day celebration encourages you to wear your favorite dancewear and join us for a high-energy session to mark the extra day of the year. For those focused on pointe work, February marks a significant milestone. We are launching a brand-new beginner pointe cohort starting February 6th, providing a safe and structured environment for dancers to begin their journey en pointe.
Additionally, please note that our Barre in Pointe Shoes class will move to Tuesdays starting February 27th, with extra sessions added on Friday evenings and Saturdays to accommodate more schedules. Holiday logistics are also accounted for; on President's Day, Monday, February 19th, we will offer a special extended daytime schedule. Our regular rotating Thursday schedule continues, balancing Advanced Barre and Power Barre in the mornings with Center Barre and standard classes in the evenings.
Whether you are working on your tendu or perfecting your artistry, our February schedule is designed to help you reach your goals. Join the Broche Ballet community on Zoom and elevate your training this month!
