About This Video
Welcome to a fresh month of dance at Broche Ballet! Our April Zoom schedule is officially live, marking our first full month operating out of our brand-new Orlando studio. This month is packed with opportunities for dancers of every level to refine their technique, build strength, and explore the artistry of classical variations from the comfort of home.
For those just starting their journey, our absolute beginner series continues to transition into center work, helping you find your stability away from the barre. If you are looking for a consistent daily routine, our follow-along warmup barre classes on Tuesday evenings provide the perfect foundation. On April 16th, we will place a special emphasis on port de bras technique to enhance your upper body coordination and grace.
On Wednesdays, we are shifting our focus to deepen your technical foundations. Our usual center barre will be replaced by a dedicated technique barre class, designed to dive deep into the mechanics of placement and alignment. Following this, the afternoon port de bras rotation moves into center balancing—a vital skill for any dancer looking to improve their stability and poise during adagio and allegro work.
Intermediate students have an exciting month ahead as we begin the Talisman variation. This three-part series starts on April 10th, allowing dancers to master the intricate choreography in manageable segments en pointe. If you are looking to add some momentum to your practice, our Thursday evening turning drills will focus on chaînés turns. We will break down the spotting and weight transfer required to execute these turns with speed and precision.
Finally, as our Grand Allegro Fundamental Series draws to a close, we are introducing a new rotating format for our specialty classes. Every other week, we will alternate between center work and focused topics such as barre stretches and leg extensions. This variety ensures a well-rounded training schedule that addresses both flexibility and explosive power. Check the Broche Ballet website for the full calendar and to reserve your spot!
