The class begins at the barre with essential foundational movements. We focus heavily on the demi-plié and plié press-over to ensure the ankles are mobile and the weight is correctly distributed over the box of the shoe. You will move through sequences of tendu and flex exercises to improve articulation and flexibility. These movements are crucial for achieving a beautiful line and maintaining control while transitioning from flat to en pointe.
