About This Video
Are you looking to build incredible foot strength and stability in your pointe shoes? The "Fabulous 15" is an intensive, nonstop follow-along class designed specifically for dancers who want to maximize their time at the barre and build the stamina required for longer variations. This session focuses on the essential mechanics of pointework, guiding you through a series of progressive exercises that challenge your alignment, control, and endurance from start to finish.
We begin the class in parallel to properly warm up the intrinsic muscles of the feet and the ankles before moving into more complex turned-out movements. You will work through meticulous demi-plié and relevé sequences, with a particular focus on the articulation of the foot. One of the key technical highlights of this class is learning how to find resistance by pushing the shank of the shoe away from your arch while rolling down, ensuring a controlled and safe descent from en pointe rather than simply dropping.
As the class progresses, we move into dedicated balance and alignment work. You will practice sous-sus and retiré balances, where the goal is to find stillness within your shoes and let go of the barre as soon as possible. These exercises are vital for developing the core stability and ankle proprioception needed for center work and turns.
We also incorporate dynamic movements such as échappé, pas de chat, and passé changes to improve your speed and footwork precision. Whether you are working with one hand on the barre or challenging yourself with no hands, this Broche Ballet class provides the structured repetition necessary to refine your technique and build confidence in your shoes. By focusing on stretching the knees at the top of the rise and pressing forward in the hips, you will achieve a cleaner, more professional line en pointe.
Join us for 15 minutes of dedicated, high-energy practice and feel the immediate difference in your strength and stability.
