About This Video
Welcome to "Fabulous 15," an intensive, nonstop session designed specifically for the dedicated dancer looking to refine their technique en pointe. At Broche Ballet, we understand that pointework requires not just strength, but incredible articulation and control. This 15-minute follow-along class is structured to keep you moving, building the endurance and precision necessary for professional-level execution.
The session begins with a focused warm-up, emphasizing parallel articulation to ensure every part of the foot is awake. You will work through demi-plié and roll through the box, focusing on the transition between being flat on the floor and fully en pointe. These foundational exercises are crucial for developing the "roll-up" and "roll-down" technique that creates a seamless aesthetic.
As we progress, the class incorporates classical elements such as tendu, coupé de pied, and pas de cheval. These movements challenge your stability and alignment while en pointe. We pay special attention to maintaining a turned-out position and ensuring weight distribution remains centered over the box.
By isolating the ankle and working the front of the shins, you will gain the flexibility and strength needed for more complex center work. The routine culminates in passé and relevé exercises, testing your balance and core engagement. Throughout the 15 minutes, the emphasis remains on continuous movement—no long breaks, just pure, focused training.
This "nonstop" approach is excellent for building the stamina required for longer variations and performances. Whether you are at home or in the studio, this Broche Ballet class provides a rigorous workout for your feet and ankles to help you reach your goals.
