About This Video
Welcome to the "Fabulous 15," a high-energy, 15-minute nonstop follow-along ballet class specifically designed to strengthen your pointework. At Broche Ballet, we believe that consistency, technical precision, and a bit of fire are the keys to dancing with confidence en pointe. This session is meticulously crafted for intermediate and advanced dancers who are ready to bridge the gap between the stability of the barre and the freedom of center work.
The class kicks off with a focused warm-up, beginning with demi-plié and pointe exercises on the right foot before transferring weight to the left. This initial focus ensures that your articulation is sharp and your weight distribution is centered from the very first minute. You will engage in a series of rises, where the emphasis is placed on keeping the head forward and the heel directly under the leg.
" By rolling from a plié onto the ball of the foot and then descending, you build the intrinsic foot strength required for professional-level transitions. As we move away from the barre, the challenge intensifies. You will learn to use your ankles as dynamic stabilizers, providing the necessary lift at the top of a demi-plié to find your center.
We encourage students to let their feet "walk" to find balance, a technique that builds a responsive and resilient core. The routine includes demanding sequences such as four relevés in second position followed by a sustained balance, alongside a combination of four passé turns and four échappé turns. Technical cues are woven throughout the 15 minutes to help you refine your form.
You will be reminded to keep the big toe pushing forward and the foot flexed at the ankle during specific transitions to maximize stability. Whether you are practicing in a large studio or a more confined home space, this nonstop workout will push your stamina and elevate your technical prowess. Join the Broche Ballet community today and transform your pointework with this rigorous, follow-along session.
